(St. Catherine, T. 5)—Let us sing the praise of the renowned Bride of Christ, Catherine, the divine protectress of Sinai, our help and our succor; for she has brilliantly silenced the refinements of the impious by the power of the Spirit; and since she has been crowned as a witness of the Lord, she craves for all the great mercy.

A Needs List for the REACH shelter is posted on the bulletin board in the hall.
Every year, Fr. Robert Miclean of Holy Archangels parish in the Annapolis area, takes a group on pilgrimage to Romania. This year, John Outen has expressed interest in going. They are in need of others to sign up to take the trip—if interested, see John for further details. NB—this is a serious pilgrimage to monasteries and other holy sites.
Thanks to Connors (subbing for Joneses) for church cleaning this week. Koenigs are up for next week. Thanks to Valentina Barbuta for prosphora today and next week. We need volunteers for church cleaning and prosphora baking.
Parish Council is trying to produce a new edition of the parish Directory. We have partial, scattered information about most of the families regularly attending except our most recent arrivals. We need your help in producing something both for print and online versions of the directory and also so Fr. Dennis can have all the information he needs about all of our families. Last week, we attached file cards to the bulletin; please take a file card, fill it out and return it. Here’s the information we would like: names of adults, street address, city, state, Zip code, phone numbers, email addresses, names of children living at home. We understand these days you may not want all of this information disseminated—please indicate on the card what information you don’t mind being included in such a directory. Please understand that for pastoral reasons Fr. Dennis himself should have the bulk of this information, but only that which you indicate (underline? highlight? etc.) will be included. Thank you for assisting us in our communication effort through the parish, and thanks to those who have already filled out a card!
The grandfather of Alex Gary, Raul, fell asleep in the Lord last week. Also among the departed we remember June Aleshin, Marina Ploscaru; the mother of Emmet Hoyt, Darryl; the father of John Outen, also John; those who have perished in war, persecution and terrorism in the Middle East, Ukraine, here and throughout the world, and from storms, flood, fire, earthquake, and disease here and elsewhere, and those of our armed forces who have fallen in combat. May their memory be eternal!
